Lisa Beausoleil (Samantha) Is thrilled to make her CentAstage debut in the role of Samantha for the world premier of MONSTERS! Lisa has been with the cast of MONSTERS! for both its Boston and New York readings, and has eagerly helped the show evolve and grow. Lisa is an active member of Nemasket River Productions in Middleboro and has been cast in several leading roles over the past four seasons. Favorite roles include Laura in Glass Menagerie, the title role in Sylvia, and Dorothy in Elaine May's Hotline. Other credits include the role of Nancy in Crazy for You at the Zeiterion Theatre; Mama Rose in Gypsy, the title role in Mame, and Reno Sweeny in Anything Goes. Lisa performed throughout New England in her one-woman cabaret revue, Calliope. She has worked on several films and in 2004 could be spotted in Fever Pitch, cheering along with Drew and Jimmy!

 

 

CHERYL McMAHON* (Mother) is delighted to be making her CentAstage debut.  A founding member of the Village Theatre Project, Cheryl recently appeared in their first production, BETTER OFF DEAD, by Shawn Sturnick. Last spring, at the Stoneham Theatre, Cheryl played Mrs. Wilson in the New England premiere of SEVEN RABBITS ON A POLE, by John Picardi. This summer, she played the role of Gorgeous in New Century Theatre’s production of THE SISTERS ROSENSWEIG, by Wendy Wasserstein.  Cheryl is the recipient of the 2004 and 2005 Independent Reviewers of New England awards for best supporting actress in a musical for her performances at Reagle Players in GREASE, MUSIC MAN, CRAZY FOR YOU, and CAROUSEL. At Boston’s Huntington Theatre, Cheryl has appeared in the world premiere musical, MARTY, and in THE ROSE TATOO. Other Boston performances include those at the Lyric Stage Company, (most enjoyably BEYOND BELIEF, by Jack Neary), Speakeasy Stage, Wheelock Family Theatre, and North Shore Music Theatre. With Overture Productions, Cheryl played Letitia Primrose in the 2006 Elliot Norton Award winner for Best Musical, ON THE TWENTIETH CENTURY.  For fans of vintage murder mysteries, Cheryl plays Mrs. White in the Parker Brothers video games, CLUE I & II   Many thanks to Joe, Ernie, and Gail for inviting me into the world of MONSTERS.

 

 

PATTI HATHAWAY (Apathy) Is as excited as she can be to embody the role of Apathy in MONSTERS! Patti has brought her wry humor to the character of Apathy through both the Boston and New York readings and is delighted to appear in the role for her CentAstage debut. Patti performed most recently in Dancers at the Playwrights' Platform 34th Summer Festival of new plays, and in Random Selection, both in Provincetown and at the Boston Theater Marathon. Other credits include: Miss Hannigan in Annie, Golde in Fiddler on the Roof, and Olive in The Female Odd Couple. Patti plays ukulele and is a vocalist in the Boston band "Who's Leslie?" She also has been lead singer for the bands Dream Indigo and the Blue Orchid Islanders.

 

 

  Michelle Dowd (FEAR) is thrilled to be working with Centastage and the Monsters crew.  Last season, Ms. Dowd was also seen in A GOOD HOPE as Barbara Jordan with the Theater Cooperative, the Lyric Stage Company’s musical production of CROWNS, the Zeitgeist Theater’s drama, THE STORY, and Boston Theater Works’ production of HOMEBODY/KABUL.   Michelle won an IRNE award (Independent Reviewers Of New England) for Best Supporting Actress for her portrayal of The Editor in THE STORY.   She has worked with many Boston theater companies.  Ms Dowd’s main stage credits with The Huntington Theatre, include THE AMEN CORNER, NOMATHEMBA and A STREETCAR NAMED DESIRE and understudying lead roles in their productions of TO KILL A MOCKINGBIRD, SEVEN GUITARS, A RAISIN IN THE SUN and FROM THE MISSISSIPPI DELTA.   Ms. Dowd is part of a busy local band called “MOVE” and delights in traveling around the world-38 countries and counting.  By day, she’s a Banker. 

 

 

  WAYNE FRITSCHE (Body)  Wayne is very grateful to be making his Centastage debut in Monsters.  Other favorite roles include the Baker in Into the Woods, Japheth in Two By Two, Albert in Bye Bye Birdie, Snoopy in You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown, Hysterium in A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum, Scarecrow in The Wizard of Oz, Sheriff Reynolds in Bat Boy, Judas in Godspell, Motel in Fiddler on the Roof, and Reverend Mother in Nunsense A-Men.  A graduate of Williams College, Wayne now lives in Jamaica Plain with his own cast of Monsters.

 

 

MOLLY ANNE KELLEHER (Birthday Telegram Singer)  is thrilled to be working on the debut of MONSTERS, this being her debut with CentAstage as well.  Some of her recent credits include BROAD COMEDY where she understudied the company at the Stuart Street Playhouse, HELEN KELLER in Historical Perspectives for a children’s touring show, and a variety of characters in The Gold Dust Orphans’ CINDERELLA ROCKS.  Molly holds as BA in Theatre from Emerson College.  She would like to thank her friends and family for the continuous support and John for always believing in her even when she can’t hear him over the voices of the monsters!
